The KL Rahul-led Punjab Kings (PBKS) has signed Endura Mass, a high protein nutritional supplement that is commonly used for weight gain, as their official nutrition partner for the ongoing 14th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Taking to twitter, the franchise shared a post with the caption: “Looking forward to a healthy partnership with our official nutrition partner @enduramass11 #PunjabKings #IPL2021.”
The company later retweeted the Punjab-based franchise’s post saying: “We are proud to partner with the Kings of IPL T20. Official Nutrition Partner of Kings Punjab Team. We wish the team all the very best for their first match!
@PunjabKingsIPL.”
Significantly, Punjab Kings registered a winning start to their IPL 2021 campaign as they pipped Rajasthan Royals (RR) by four runs on Monday in Mumbai.
For Punjab, the 14th edition will be their first season with the new franchise name — Punjab Kings, which was earlier known as Knings XI Punjab.
The decision to rename the franchise and the Punjab Kings new logo was taken a day prior to the IPL 2021 mini-auction in February 2021.
In the previous season of the cash-rich league, which took place in UAE, was a season to forget for the Punjab-based franchise as they had once again failed to qualify for the playoffs.
The KL Rahul-led side had managed to win just six of their 14 matches.
Before the IPL 2021 mini-auction, the Punjab-based franchise had retained 16 cricketers, which include the likes of skipper KL Rahul, Chris Gayle, Mohammad Shami, Mayank Agarwal, Nicholas Pooran among others.
In the recently held auction, the franchise signed Australian cricketers like Moises Henriques, Jhye Richardson and the World No.1 T20I batsman Dawid Malan.
