Seven signed as principal sponsor for Everest Premier League 2021

Everest Premier League (EPL), a franchise-based T20 cricket tournament in Nepal has roped in sportswear brand Seven, which was launched by former India captain MS Dhoni in 2016, as their new principal sponsor for the 2021 season.

After the deal, Seven will also be the exclusive kit and merchandise partner for the league and its six teams.

Announcing the development, Aamir Akhtar, Managing Director of the EPL said: “I would like to thank the entire team of SEVEN for showing their vote of confidence in us and it’s heartening to see how Everest Premier League is slowly and gradually building a reputation of being one of the premier cricket leagues in the world.”

“This association will help us to reach out to wider array of viewers and will significantly help in the development and promotion of Cricket in Nepal,” he added.

The 2021 season of the league, which is officially sanctioned by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), will be held in late September.

On the other hand, Arun Pandey, CMD, Chairman of Seven wrote on his social media account: “Glad to announce that Seven is the new principal sponsor for Everest Premier League 2021 Season. We are eagerly looking forward to this opportunity as it will play an integral role in strengthening cricketing relations between India & Nepal.”

Meanwhile, Seven is also planning to open three stores in the capital city of Kathmandu over the next couple of years.
