Sony Pictures Sports Network announce #MeriDoosriCountry as its signature campaign for football

Sony Pictures Sports Network (SPSN) is all set for the live broadcast of UEFA Euro 2020, Europe’s biggest football tournament, which was cancelled last year due to the pandemic and will now kick-off from June 11.

With around two months left for the tournament, SSPN, the official broadcaster, has already launched the teaser campaign — #MeriDoosriCountry, which aims to bring football fans closer to their favourite team leading to UEFA Euro 2020.

Meanwhile, the network has also announced #MeriDoosriCountry as its signature campaign for football.

SSPN has already launched four films for its teaser campaign which were conceptualized and created-in house by SPSN’s marketing team.

This campaign will complement the network’s campaign for the FIFA World Cup 2018 and will act as a signature campaign for all international country football tournaments on the network.

The network believes that though India doesn’t represent in football at world level, Indians do have their favourite teams.

Notably, SSPN is also planning to launch another four or five campaigns before the main campaign.

The channel will broadcast the tournament in six languages including Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Bengali and the showpiece event will be aired live on Sony TEN 2 and Sony TEN 3 (in Hindi) in India.

Considered as one of the most celebrated football events, UEFA EURO’s 2021 edition will marks the 60th anniversary of the competition and will feature 24 teams from across Europe.

Soccer fans will get to watch some of the best footballers in the world like Cristiano Ronaldo, Antoine Griezmann, Harry Kane, Toni Kroos, Paul Pogba, Kylian Mbappè in action at the tournament, which will begin from June 11 and  the first match will be held at Rome’s Stadio Olimpico.
