292 players to go under hammer in IPL player auction

The players auction list for the upcoming edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) has been announced and according to it, a total of 292 players will go under the hammer in Chennai on February 18.

Of the total players, 164 are Indians, 125 overseas players and three players from Associate Nations, who will be up for grabs in the auction.

Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh, Kedar Jadhav and eight foreign players have chosen to be slotted in the highest bracket of Rs 2 crore.

Glenn Maxwell, Steve Smith, Shakib Al Hasan, Moeen Ali, Sam Billings, Liam Plunkett, Jason Roy and Mark Wood are the other eight overseas players.

On the other hand, 12 players fall in the second bracket, which has a base price of INR 1.5 crore.

With a base price of INR 1 crore, Hanuma Vihari and Umesh Yadav are the two Indian players in the list of 11 cricketers.

15 and 65 cricketers fall in the third and fourth bracket of Rs 75 lakh and 50 lakh respectively.
