BREAKING: PSL 6 postponed due to rising Covid-19 cases

In the wake of rising coronavirus cases, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Thursday announced to postpone the ongoing season of Pakistan Super League (PSL).

According to reports, the league will now be rescheduled, however, no exact dates have been announced.

Earlier today, the PCB had confirmed that three more players from two different teams of the league tested positive for Covid-19. According to reports, of the three two are foreign players and the other one is a support staff.

The three players and they will now self-isolate for 10 days.

PCB Director of Media Sami Burney had not name the three players but had confirmed about the three positive cases.

Speaking at a press conference at the National Stadium, Burney had said: “I can confirm that two foreign players and one support staff member have tested positive from the results of the 242 PCR tests we had conducted on all the franchises their officials and support staff since yesterday.”

He said out of the three cases, one cricketer belonged to the Islamabad United franchise.

Earlier, Australian leg-spinner Fawad Ahmed had returned positive.
