Cricket Australia postpones Australia v India women’s ODI series due to Covid-19

The Covid-19 pandemic has forced Cricket Australia to postpone the Australia-India women’s ODI series to next season. The series will not take place next month as scheduled, the body announced on Thursday.

According to Cricket Australia’s interim boss, Nick Hockley, three T20 internationals have also been added to the series. Originally, the two sides were supposed to play three ODIs in the month of January.

“We had initially hoped to play India this summer, however the impact of the global pandemic made it necessary to postpone until next season,” Hockley said in a media release.
