IPL 2021: Finn Allen replaces Josh Philippe in RCB squad

The Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have replaced Josh Philippe, who will be unavailable for the entire season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, with New Zealand wicketkeeper-batsman Finn Allen.

Finn has featured in 12 first-class games for New Zealand, slamming three half centuries.

Significantly, Finn had a base price of Rs 20 lakh, which as same as that of Philippe.

It will be Finn’s debut IPL season this year when he plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The IPL will start on April 9 and its final will be held on May 30 with defending champions Mumbai Indians taking on RCB in the tournament opener in Chennai.

The matches will be played across six cities — Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata.
