Pant recovers from Covid-19, joins Team India in Durham

After fully recovering from Covid-19 and completing the isolation period, wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has joined the Indian Test team in Durham.

“Hello @RishabhPant17, great to have you back [emoticon: grinning face] #TeamIndia,” tweeted the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Earlier this month, both Pant and training assistant Dayanand Garani had tested positive for Covid-19.

At that time, the BCCI had said Pant was already into his eighth day of isolation after testing positive.

Meanwhile, other wicketkeeper on the ongoing England tour – Wriddhiman Saha is still in isolation along with bowling coach Bharat Arun and standby batsman Abhimanyu Easwaran for being in contact with Garani.

The trio’s isolation period will end on July 24.
