Players to serve 10-day quarantine in UAE before PSL 6 remainder begins

The players participating in the remainder of Pakistn Super League (PSL) sixth edition will have to serve a mandatory 10-day quarantine period before they start training as it is one of the most important condition asked by UAE authorities.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is planning to start the PSL 6 remainder in Abu Dhabi from June 5 owner of Karachi Kings Salman Iqbal has reportdely said that the terms and conditions agreed between the PCB and the UAE authorities entail a mandatory 10-day quarantine period for players and other people included in the league.

Meanwhile, the PCB is arranging to fly the foreign and local players to Abu Dhabi by May 25 so that they can start their quarantine period.

Before travelling to Abu Dhabi, all the players and officials will also have to undergo a three-day quarantine in Pakistan.

Also, in order to avoid any further breach, the PCB has hired the services of an international company, Restrata, to manage the Covid-19 bio-bubble in Abu Dhabi.

Earlier on Friday, the Abu Dhabi government gave clearence to the PCB for holding the remaining games in the UAE.

Earlier on March 4, the sixth season of the PSL was postponed due to a spike in Covid-19 cases among players and support staffs.
