Silver screen Dhoni, Sushant Singh Rajput bids adieu to world

No one would have realised the man to play one of the biggest fighters on silver screen would end the innings of life so abruptly. Actor Sushant Singh Rajput, the man to make an everlasting impact in the Mahendra Singh Dhoni, has left the world at a young age of 34.

The talented actor ended his life at his Mumbai house on Sunday. He was reportedly battling depression. The actor was living alone in his Mumbai during the lockdown.

Rajput, according to Mumbai police, was found hanging in his flat at Bandra. His former manager Disha Salian too had died under mysterious circumstances five days back after falling from a high rise building.

Sushant’s father is living alone at his ancestral home at Patna after the mother had died last year.

He had played the lead character in the Dhoni biopic – MS Dhoni : The Untold Story. He had drawn lavish praise for emulating one of the most celebrated cricketers both on and off the field – from the trademark helicopter shot to the finer points behind the stumps.

He has started his acting journey from small screen with the popular show Pavitra Rishta before switching to films. His silver screen journey has started with director Abhishek Kapoor’s Kai Po Che. He sought to stardom with the Dhoni biopic.

His family had moved from Purnea in Bihar to Patna. He had dropped his bachelors course in engineering to pursue career in acting.
