Warner hints to feature in IPL 2021 remainder in UAE

Although there has been uncertainty over the participation of Australian cricketers in the remainder of IPL 2021, which will begin on September 19 in the UAE, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) star player David Warner has hinted that he would feature in the second-half of the cash-rich league.

Notably due to a packed schedule and the upcoming T20 World Cup, it has been believed that some star Aussie players might miss the IPL 2021 remainder. The IPL 2021 was suspended back in May after few players and support staffs of different franchises tested positive for the deadly virus.

On Tuesday through a Instagram post, Warner said that he would take part in SRH’s campaign when the IPL 2021 resumes next month in the UAE.

“I’ll be back,” Warner captioned a picture of himself in SRH jersey.

Significantly, Warner has been a three-time Orange Cap winner (2015, 2017 and 2019) in the lucrative league and is a crucial part of the Orange Army.

He was however, removed as SRH captain with New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson taking charge of the team, which had suffered five defeats from six matches.
