In the eighth match of the yearly T20 extravaganza — Indian Premier League’s (IPL) 14th season, three-time champions champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be up against the KL Rahul-led Punjab Kings (PBKS), which is their first season with the new franchise name, earlier known as Knings XI Punjab.
While the MS Dhoni-led CSK suffered a seven-wicket defeat against Delhi Capitals (DC) in their season opener, PBKS kicked-off their campaign on a right note as they registered a narrow four-run victory over Rajasthan Royals (RR) in their last outing.
The match between CSK and PBKS will be held at the historic Wankhede stadium in Mumbai on Friday.
