Registered the biggest win of his career, Sumit Nagal outclassed second seed Cristian Garin of Chile in straight sets to enter the quarterfinals of the ongoing Argentina Open ATP 250 tournament.
Ranked 150, Nagal displayed some top-class tennis to register a stunning 6-4 6-3 second round win over his Chilean rival, who is ranked 22nd in the ATP chart.
Nagal will now face Spain’s Albert Ramos-Vinolas, who defeated Domnik Koepfer of Germany 7-5 6-4, in the quarters.
Significantly, it will be the Nagal’s maiden quarterfinal appearance at the ATP Tour level.
