Senior ICC employee asked to go on leave for showing misconduct

A senior employee of the International Cricket Council (ICC) has been reportedly been asked to go on “leave” following an investigation, outsourced to an international agency of global reputation, which said that the individual’s conduct has been unsavoury and against the federation’s way of operations.

If reports are to believed, the ICC had given the charge of investigation to a UK-based accounting firm earlier this year to investigate the employee’s manner of conduct.

The final report of the investigation is likely to be out soon.

Allegations  on the employe ranged from very serious to as petty such as arrogance and high-handedness, to as internally serious as hiring and sacking employees at whim.

The agency has been in talks with several ICC employees at all levels over the last one month to gather information on the individual and as per the report, the response has been “detrimental”.
